Sassy Baby Shower card

Hello my Crafty Peeps and happy Friday!

Hope all is well! Today it's a cold and rainy day... I wanted to go to the movies watch 'Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2' ... not sure that it's going to happen... no baby sitter... and too rainy for a drive-in movie... can't go shopping no money... it went to the plumber a few days ago (ugh) AND he still didn't fix the problem... apparently it's somewhere between the house and the sewer lateral but on my property :( . This is so not cool right before the holidays and right before baby is due I'm 38 weeks+ 2 days; yep I think I'm having myself a little butterball (Literally, none of my previous pregnancies have gone this far).

Anyway... sorry TMI lol

There's this other gal at my church she's due next month and I wasn't able to make it to her baby shower but I made her a card anyway. This image from Sassy Studio Designs reminded me of her because she wears those pretty maxi dresses. She's having a little girl (I know I didn't make it pink) I hope she likes it though.
I think she's called Preggo Honey
The skin and dress  are colored with Copic markers.
The hair is colored with Spectrum Noirs.
The Heart Lace/ribbon was given to me by my mother
(it was a thrift store find- I think)
It's from Teeny Trims (never heard of it before but I love it)
I Used Copic Atyou Spica pens to go over the words and make them glittery
also used it the eye-shadow and lips (wish I could capture it better on the pictures)

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs*

The Carol

Good morning everyone!

Hope all is well with everyone! Me? I'm just here in the mood for making cards. Today I decided to work on some Christmas cards. This digi is from Robert Jackson; it's called "The Carol" and you can find it here: http://fineartsbyrobertjackson.com/holidays.html

Not feeling too chatty lately just want to create cards or color and listen to music-
so on to the card...

 Everything was colored with Copics.
The DP is from Anna Griffin "Holiday Traditions"

Thank you for visiting.

JDE Sketch Challenge- Thanksgiving

Hello Everyone!

Hope all is well with everyone! It's time for another Sketch Challenge over at Jackson's Digital Expressions. This time with an optional twist: Thanksgiving. JDE also, has a sponsor this week; Bugaboo Stamps.

This time I created two cards - for my first card I used Robert Jackson's LIL THANKSGIVING (which is still on sale at a special- for a limited time). Isn't that image way too cute? I also used a sentiment from Create With TLC (that one was a freebie but not sure for how long.) Here are the links for the image and the sentiment:
http://fineartsbyrobertjackson.com/new-digital-arrivals.html
http://createwithtlc-createwithtlc.blogspot.com/2012/11/saturday-freebie_10.html

Here is this week's Sketch for Jackson's Digital Expressions Challenge

I used DP from Me & My Big Ideas: Harvest
I've had that paper pad for 2 years and had only used one sheet from it (oops)
The image was colored with Copic markers
except for the hair (I don't have blacks or grays yet)
As you can see I had more trouble that usual with my "sewing."

I used Glossy Accents for the knocker/balls

Now on to my Bugaboo card.

I used Christmas Teddy 2 Ornaments. At first I made an oops and didn't realize it was supposed to be a "Thanksgiving theme" and I had chosen a Christmas image to work with but it all worked out in the end because it was just an "optional twist." Again, please excuse my crazy attempt at sewing... I almost started to draw the lines but left it alone. I've sewn much better before... don't know what happened today LOL. Here is the link to the site if you like this digi: http://www.bugaboostamps.com/Christmas-teddy-2-ornaments_p_178.html

Here I used ALL Copic markers
DP is from Martha Stewart Holidays: Winter Wonderland

I don't have buttons like many of my crafty online buddies
but I did have these cute little aluminum bells that I've for a long long time.
(which I thought went perfect with the image.)

Hope you enjoyed your visit.
using the Sketch at the top of this post; you don't have to use a
Robert Jackson image but it would be greatly appreciated if you did.
Thank you so much for stopping by.

Happy Birthday Betty

Hello Everyone!

Hoping all is well. Wishing Betty Roberts a super happy birthday. Betty is the brain child/creator of Simply Betty Stamps a.k.a. Simply B Stamps, this image was drawn specifically for Betty's shop by Alicia Bel.

I made her a little card... although I wanted to do something else but haven't had the chance to work on that particular project so for now this is what I have done.

I used one of her clear stamps on
black cardstock with PrismaColor Pencils
to achieve this effect. (No OMS this time)

Here is a closeup  of the image
It almost reminded me of chalk the blackboard in my
elementary/middle school days.

Thank you for stopping by.

Howdy Doody Ya'll

Hello Everyone!

Hope you all are having a nice evening. Decided to work on something today... Been either busy with my kids and housework or just plain doing nothing because of my condition o.O

Here is my card project.
I used a rubber stamp from The Greeting Farm
Cheeky Collection: Cheeky Howdy
Isn't she cute?

I used this Sweet Sketch

I also stamped my own background for FFF (Farm Fresh Friday) Challenge:
"Stamp your own background"
The cherry stamp is from Crafty Secrets and it's from the
Kitchen Classics set.
The Cherry banner is also from the same stamp set.

I used Copic and Spectrum Noirs to color my rubber stamp image.
I also used Copic Atyou Spicas to accent certain things on this Cheeky Howdy.

Hope you liked it.
Thank you for stopping by.

Crafty Hugs,

Katya Bess
